If you’re using Windows 7 and haven’t been able to figure out how to escape fullscreen mode in Putty/putty.exe here’s how to do it:

Right click in the absolute top left corner and the putty menu will appear.

Depending on your setup and OS version the putty menu may appear when you right click anywhere else in the screen.
