Over this last 12 months I’ve mentioned several times how I feel about the Google Adsense program which is providing both individuals an families with an income to live on.  I’ve also mentioned how this income can come and go overnight and only exists if you can accept Google as God, do as they say without question and ignore the fact that the Internet is becoming more suppressed by the day.

Back over to YouTube, the biggest most bandwidth hungry video sharing site on the Internet another Google Adsense partner has lost his $15k/month income.  Canada’s most subscribed member Davidsfarm has been the victim of a smear campaign run by a group of “haters” who dislike this individual for a variety of things, including jealousy and a dark past over twenty years ago.

This well organised group managed to contact a handful of advertisers who had their ads being show on the DavidsFarm channel and convinced them they were supporting a convicted pedophile by allowing their ads to be displayed on the channel.  Needless to say when confronted with this they seemingly all contacted YouTube directly and insisted that they were reimbursed any of their advertising budget spent on this channel.

I feel advertisers should have a right what they do with their money, Google has the systems in place to to allow advertisers to block their ads from showing at certain sites and pages.  Although after receiving these complaints YouTube decided to suspend the DavidsFarm account thus stopping any potential income the individual may make from existing videos and be blocked from uploading any new videos.

Whether the owner of the channel is a convicted pedophile or not, that shouldn’t change how YouTube enforce their made on the fly generic policies.  Should they be able to potentially take away a whole families income because a group of individuals decide to social engineer some advertisers?

The Internet is increasingly owned by Google which leaves us with a grim looking future.  A future where Google is the dictator, censorship is strong and anything will be done to keep the money coming in, i.e keeping the advertisers happy.

The majority of websites you visit already have Google Tracking code for analytic or financial reasons, you probably already use a Google Gmail account or speak to someone who does, most likely create and store you documents with Google Apps.

Have you ever actually spoken to anyone working at Google?  I know a few years ago I made phone calls all over the world, in almost every state and could only find Google owned computerised phone systems to talk to.  It’s quite clear what’s happening here, Google is now being run by robots, Eric Schmidt and his cronies are robots waiting to raise an army, Terminator style…. or maybe they’re just too cheap to employ real people to answer phones all day, who knows.

Either way, Google are evil.
