Update 12th December 2010:

It seems YouTube have finally listened to those in opposition of the Davidfarm YouTube channel and terminated his account.  This seems a little extreme as he was apparently generating over $15,000k a month with his 40% revenue share, meaning Google themselves are losing even more.

Perhaps there have yet again been external pressures or perhaps Google, an American company no longer believe in freedom of speech. There’s talk of an upcoming DavidsFarm website which will offer an alternative platform for him to publish his videos.

For some time I’ve been checking out DavidsFarm on Youtube.  This is basically a guy who has a farm in London, Ontario with too many cars to list.  This guy does very entertaining stuff with his cars and makes a good living off Youtube (paid by Google Adsense) whilst doing it.

After a police raid for a civil matter it seems from what David’s saying that maybe the end of his fun car trashing and Youtube income may be just around the corner.  You can see David talk about this on the video below, make sure to check out his other videos too!

This make me wonder how many other Youtube celebs are bringing in many thousands of dollars per month and supporting their families.  How many people solely rely on Youtube for their money and must follow their words at all cost — always fearing having their videos flagged and making sure they keep their videos relitively tame.  This is probably sounding like another “Google is evil” post and they probably are. Freedom of speech is dead when Google are around.
